Turbo Master

turbocharger airflow. Each Turbo-Master model is designed to deliver
that control and allow your engine to take full advantage of its
fuel curve to make maximum power for any given exhaust temperature.

Model -12 Turbo-Master 
The model -12 Turbo-Master is designed for the '94 to '98.5
12-valve Dodge-Cummins. The -12 is also ideally suited for use on
the 14cm upgrade Cummins turbine housing. With its wide range of
adjustability and smooth waste gate control, the -12 is a perfect
companion to typical pump and injector modifications on the 12 valve
Cummins. The Turbo-Master is a direct, bolt-on replacement for the
factory boost canister and fastens using the same mounting bolts.
The -12 is more compact than the factory part taking less of the
same space it occupied. Installation involves removing and reinstalling
the turbocharger and typically is accomplished in 1-2 hours without
special tools or talents. All necessary parts and gaskets are included
in the kit. The installation instructions detail making the preliminary
boost setting. Boost pressure range of adjustment is 14 - 50 psi.

Model -24 Turbo-Master 
The model -24 is designed for the '98.5 - '02 24 valve trucks
with manual transmission. It is a direct, bolt-on replacement for
the factory boost canister on these engines. Installation involves
removing and reinstalling the turbocharger and typically takes 1-2
hours using basic hand tools. No special talents are required. All
necessary parts and gaskets are included in the kit. A preliminary
boost setting procedure is detailed in the instructions. The -24
range of boost pressure adjustment is 14 - 39 psi. This means that
the -24 can be used with an otherwise factory stock engine without
setting ECU codes. Simply follow the recommendation for setting
the boost limit at 20 psi.
The -24 is perfectly suited to be combined with any of the aftermarket
performance-enhancing computer boxes. In our experience, the boost
elbow supplied with these control boxes will raise boost pressure
to somewhere in the 26-31 psi range. In those cases where the box
is set to one of its higher output levels, the boost pressure and
airflow created by the boost elbow falls short of being sufficient
for the fuel delivery being prescribed. The result is that during
a hard pull, the egt will be too high and the driver will be forced
to back out of the throttle to prevent running the pyrometer needle
beyond a practical limit.
With the Turbo-Master boost control, the boost pressure can be
set to a limit of 37-39 psi. This boost increase over that created
by the 'boost elbow' is accompanied by a significant increase in
airflow through the engine, which results in more pulling power
and speed for a given egt limit.

Model -GM Turbo-Master 
The model -GM was originally created for the '92 and '93 GM
6.5 with mechanical injection. It is a direct, bolt-on replacement
for the factory spring loaded canister. These engines respond nicely
to the addition of the Turbo-Master accompanied by a fuel delivery
adjustment. Modifications to improve breathing will further enhance
performance.
The high compression 6.5 is well matched to the factory turbocharger,
which is efficient to 15 psi boost. The -GM is designed with a range
of adjustment of 3-17 boost.
Recently, because so many are retrofitting the '94 and '95 model
engines with earlier mechanical fuel systems, we made changes in
the design of the -GM to make it fit these turbochargers as well.
This is the perfect solution to turbocharger control in these applications.
The -GM also works well on the computer controlled '94 and '95
models as a replacement for a failed factory canister / vacuum pump.
In these applications, the boost can be set to match the factory
4-6 psi range. We are in the process of developing Turbo-Masters
for other Cummins applications as well as for the Ford PS and GM
Duramax. We also plan on introducing the model -24 Auto soon. Stand
