Cummins ISB Boost Module
Cummins ISB Boost Elbow
Changing injectors on a 24 valve Cummins engine can result in significant horsepower and torque gains. These gains can be complimented by installing an electronic boost module. The factory Dodge / Cummins ISB has a maximum turbocharger boost of 19.5 psi. If this boost setting is exceeded it will create a defueling condition and a possible check engine light activation.
The Cummins ISB Boost Module works in conjunction with the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor equipped on the engine. No permanent changes are needed. It simply plugs in between the existing engine wire harness and the MAP sensor. The ISB Boost Module tailors the voltage coming out of the MAP sensor and does not let it exceed a factory set voltage that will cause a defueling condition. This results in 25 to 30 psi of boost pressure for increased horsepower and lower exhaust temperatures. The ISB Boost Module works well for enhancing top end power with the Plug N Power module. 		The ISB Boost Elbow works with the ISB Boost Module. The factory ISB boost is set at 19.5 psi. The turbocharger is equipped with a wastegate and actuator that mechanically bleeds off excessive boost once factory boost pressure is achieved. The boost elbow simply screws into the same hole where the existing factory elbow is installed. No permanent changes are needed. The boost elbow is a machined fitting designed to allow the turbo to increase pressure up to 30 psi before bleeding the excess boost pressure off.
The ISB Boost Elbow is included with the ISB Boost Module, but can be purchased separately as well.

Please specify year of truck when ordering. Some 2001 year models may need a "J" Hook to obtain the 25 to 30 psi boost. You can easily find out if you will need a "J" Hook by examining your wastegate assembly. Check your wastegate to see if it has a metal tube or rubber hose attached to it. Models with the metal tube will require the "J" Hook assembly. The "J" Hook is simple to install and comes with complete installation instructions.
